Pre-Christmas Joy

Veda seems to feel that just because she has time to keep my Blog updated with beautiful seasonal decorations and at the same time care for 4 (sorry, Shawn, make that 3) children, then we should be able to find time in our busy, busy schedule to write on the Blog occasionally. Go figure! So, in Veda's honor, here is actually a reasonably recent update.

Amid all the Christmas decorating, baking, shopping, and general excitement, the absolute highlight of our Christmas season was that Shawn and Veda let us bring Jeron home with us for two weeks before the rest of the family came for Christmas. He was a perfect little angel, really, that's not just "grandparent speak." He was soooooo good and so much fun. We enjoyed every minute we had him. When we were in Arkansas for Thanksgiving it seemed like Jeron said some words and phrases here and there, pretty typical for a two-year-old. He still seemed like a little baby to us. We got on the plane with him and he said words here and there, but we felt like we were taking a little baby home with us. Once we got home that delusion ended. We hadn't been home 5 min before my cell phone rang. Jeron looked at me and said, "You should answer your phone!" No more little baby. We knew then we had a big guy here!

You ruined him. Do you want him back? I am glad you enjoyed him dirty diapers and all! We missed him terribly, but it sure helped lighten the load.
