April 26 2009

The wedding was truly a dream come true. Rebecca had everything planned perfectly and it all came off without a hitch. Thanks to everyone in the family for working so hard to make it all happen. We felt like a Roadshow at times, but it was fun. Traveling from Salt Lake to St. George Robert and I learned an important lesson. We were just behind Cade and Andi in the caravan and both Shawn and Heather were behind us with their kids. Both of them at some time during the trip called us and threatened to throw their children out on the side of the road. If we ever do something like this again the Grandparents need to be last in line so we can pick up any discarded children along the way. We thought all our grandchildren were perfect angels. We can't understand what ther parents were so uptight about!

This picture was actually taken at Christmas but I couldn't resist including it. Allison and Ashlin are not only cousins but the very best of friends (most of the time). They are adorable together.

Here are all the cousins on the steps of the St. George Temple. Top to bottom: Ethan - 8 (Heather's) Jaxon - 3 (Shawn's) Ashlin - 4 (Shawn's) Allison - 5 (Heather's) and Jeron - 2 (Shawn's)

At both receptions and at the temple we were overwhelmed with the blessings we've been given. Our lives have been blessed with so many good people and we could never discount the influence they have on us. Our own children are a constant joy, and we have the best ever in-laws. We love them all and are thrilled to add Dave to our family. My sister and her husband and Robert's sister and her children are always there for us. We had friends from St. Anthony come all the way to Salt Lake and even to St. George. I had my cousin from Bountiful at the temple too. I love it when we're all together. This was such a joyous occasion. Congratulations Dave and Beckie! We love you!
