This week Robert could no longer resist the lure of Logan Canyon's fishing potential. Wednesday we packed a picnic lunch and drove to Tony Grove. Clarification: our definition of packing a picnic lunch is stopping at Subway on our way out of town and getting sandwiches. Anyway, we had never been to Tony Grove lake before and were somewhat surprised when we finally got there. We've heard a lot about swimming and having parties at the lake and were both picturing something like, maybe, Island Park or Henry's Lake. What we found was more like the Bennett fishing pond. Beautiful, but not very tempting to my fly fishing husband. So we moved on to Redbanks Campground and Robert fished Logan River. It was a beautiful spot. He enjoyed fishing and I enjoyed relaxing and reading in the lounge chair he brought for me. That night we went to Andi's school to see her classroom. She's right uptown this year...inside the building with a telephone, air conditioning and rest rooms. The joy of being a second year teacher! She and her partner teacher had the room fixed really cute and ready for school to start on Thursday. After the classroom visit we went for pizza at Pizza Plus in Hyrum.

Thursday and Friday were Andi's first days of school so we had Lilli both those days. She's a good baby but when she gets mad at you it's certainly not hard to tell she's unhappy! This picture of her was actually taken in our car on our way home from the American Heritage Center Friday night. We went out to their Dutch Oven dinner and Wild West Shakepeare melodrama. The food was excellent...provided by Copper Mill, one of our favorite restaurants. The play was like a pretty good road show...definitely not the Playmill. But the location is gorgeous! It was worth going for the scenery.

Saturday we tried another new restaurant called Pounders. It's a Hawaiian restaurant and quite good. We would all go there again. Beats a hamburger when you're looking for a quick meal! We also went to the movies. Cade and Robert saw District 9. Shawn had already warned them not to take the wives and Andi and I were more than happy with that arrangement. We went to "Julie and Julia" and loved it!

Today we had no church. All church meetings in Utah were cancelled so people could attend the broadcast of the dedication of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Since I've already confessed to certain members of the family attending R-rated movies this week, I'll stand on the Fifth Amendment and say no more about today's activities. Some Utah residents, total losers of course, might have chosen to stay home all day and not attend the dedication.
