Good thing I prepared for Primary today. Neither Roma nor Deoma showed up. But that’s the only bad news. It was a great day in church. Gilbert and Alma came, and Thelma and Alfred came. Elder Day came without Itri for the first time and did a great job. At the end of the meeting President Bonito called on him to give the closing prayer. It was his first impromptu assignment and he was fine. It’s really fun to watch him become a missionary.

President Bonito did 6 temple interviews after church today: Murphy, Thelma, Alfred, Dion, Verbena, and Irene (she just needed hers renewed). We were so excited! Fernando and Roma already have a recommend, we just need to get them to go with us on March 10. And Cheryl still wants to go but is a little busy with poor baby right now. So, we’re on track to get our 9 people to the temple. Keep praying for them. This would be a modern day miracle if it actually happens.

Dion taught the Sunday School lesson today, which also made us very happy. Robert said he did a good job. We were surprised when Verbena came to church because she has been working on Sunday. But today, the day we were pushing (oops, encouraging) everyone to get their temple interviews, she just happened not to be on the schedule at work. Hmmm…so interesting. These two usually come to church on their own but because Dion was teaching the lesson Robert stopped this morning to check on him. While he was there Verbena asked if he would give her grandfather a blessing. Apparently his knee is troubling him. So Robert gave him the blessing, and at the end the grandfather crossed himself. Can’t criticize a man for making sure all the bases are covered.

Maxine Bonito was in Phoenix today with an uncle who is in the hospital. After church Keegan and Faith were outside as I pulled into the driveway after taking people home from church. I asked if they wanted me to give them a ride home and they said no, we’ll just hang out at your house. They were pretty hungry so I cooked some hamburgers and decided it only made sense to feed their dad, too, since he was working so hard on our little temple project. He came and ate and Faith fell asleep watching TV and President just chatted and talked and both Robert and I nearly fell asleep and finally about 4:00 he left. We can honestly say we’re just genuinely pleased that they all feel comfortable here. This trailer isn’t just our home, it’s an extension of the Lord’s house in Cibecue and it’s wonderful to see people who are drawn here for the refuge it’s meant to be.

It’s been a rainy day and a nice day to stay inside. Sharon called and is having a great time with the Arkansas family. Jeron now weighs 8 lbs 4 oz. We’re thrilled about Randy’s new job and congratulate him. Beckie is a movie star. And Cade and Andi are still wowing everyone at USU with all their talents and successes. We are truly blessed, aren’t we?
