June 12-13, 2007
We had a great day at the Temple on Tuesday, June 12. We had a chapel meeting and then a session with all the missionaries in our zone. This is the last time we’ll see President Buttars, so it was quite emotional. We had a lovely dinner last night with all the couples and the missionaries who work in the mission office and President and Sister Buttars. We’ve learned a lot from this mission president, but think it will be interesting to see how a new president does things.
After the Temple session we left for Phoenix. Shawn and Veda went to Flagstaff to see some friends, so we got here before they did. We sat by the pool for a while, went to Target, and came back and ate the dinner Shawn left for us.
Today we took the kids swimming while Shawn, Veda and Jeron went to a sales meeting for the timeshare here. The salesman offered them a week for $21,700 and they bought it! They’re so excited! OK, everybody. Stop gasping. They didn’t really. Tempting though, because this is a really pretty place. However, Shawn says they are willing to accept donations for a future purchase.
This afternoon we went shopping at the Apple Mall…that’s not its name, just what I call it because there’s an Apple store there.
Despite the rumors, I don't live here anymore
