December 10, 2007

Robert Ivins started our day. He called and talked to Robert for about half an hour, then came over to the church for another half hour. He wanted some of the bags of nuts and candy we gave out at the dinner. Said his mother told him about them. We only had bags with peanuts left so we gave him all that was left…only 5 bags. He always has to tell us how difficult his life is.

We went visiting all afternoon…I mourned my scrapbooking days when Robert golfs. It rained all day and there’s a winter storm warning in effect until 6:00 PM tomorrow. Everywhere we went was muddy and wet. We visited with Paula Ivins. She is having some serious health problems, possibly leukemia. Then we went to Thelma’s. She’s sick, too. They’re supposed to be sealed on Thursday, so hope they can make it. We were getting our list together for Branch Temple Day on Saturday, but I doubt we’ll be able to go. Sister Wilcock is supposed to fax the names in each month right after our Temple day, but she forgets unless we reminds her. We didn’t this month, so as of tonight we have no spaces reserved. We have about 15 people who want to go. She said she’ll call tomorrow and see if we can get in.

We met a new lady today. This is a family the Elders found and we’re going to get them a food order.

We could sit in the house all day and still be exhausted at night time. It’s only a matter of whether they come here to us or we go out to them any more. One way or another our day is always full.
