Dec 4 07

December 4, 2007

We had to leave very, very early this morning to get to Robert’s doctor appointment in Tucson. We got up at 5:00 and left at 6:05. His appointment was at 9:40. Everything was fine. The blood tests and everything showed that the medication is doing what it should. The inflammation is the least it’s been for a long time. In January he can try to get off Prednisone, if he can. We like the medicine Dr. Walsh has him on and will have to see what happens when he cuts back on the Prednisone. He’s only taking a very small dose.

After the appointment we went to breakfast at Mimi’s, then Robert took the truck to the car wash to relieve it of about 40 pounds of red mud it accumulated when Robert had to pull the Elders’ car out of where it got stuck last Friday. We even had mud inside on the mats and the armrests and in the bed of the pickup. It was pretty much just all over. We’re happy to say the truck survived its wash and is once again in mint condition.

After the truck wash we did a little shopping, got some pictures developed and mailed some packages. Then we went to see “Beowulf.” We really liked it, but just liking it makes us feel a bit demented. If you enjoyed the poem in your English Lit class you’ll probably enjoy the movie.

Then we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and went back to Sharon’s to crash. Sharon and Ray have gone to Rocky Point, Mexico, with some friends. We missed having them here.
