Today we:
1. Counseled with Maxine for over an hour and filled out the forms for General Conference Interpreters. David, Maxine and Cecil Ivins are going.
2. Visited 2 families
3. Took Cecil and Myrtle to Snowflake to buy their first set of Temple Clothing. They have already been to the Temple, but only to Mesa. They rented clothes there, but have never been able to go to Snowflake because that’s a small temple and doesn’t rent clothing. Cecil has been Branch President 3 times here and is now 2nd counselor. Myrtle has been Relief Society President. They are both dynamite people. Myrtle has had a stroke and has a hard time walking. Also her nervous system as affected and she gets agitated around groups of people. So we were a little apprehensive about how she would handle the day. But she was great. Cute sense of humor. Brave as can be. We could see how tired she was when we got back to Cibecue, but she never complained. We bought lunch at Sonic and ate in the car so she wouldn’t have to get out of the truck again.
4. Spent another hour with Maxine. David is out of town and she’s lonely and sick of her kids.
5. Took home some scouts who actually came on their own. When we came back it was pouring rain and water was pouring down the mountainsides, so we called Bro Wilcock and suggested he might not want to come down for scouts. He didn’t, so it was cancelled.
6. Another hour of counseling when Robert took one of the boys home. He lives with a grandmother, and another grandson who also lives there is having emotional problems. So Robert spent another hour talking to the grandmother.
7. Spent another hour on the phone getting a speaker for Sacrament Meeting this Sunday. Somehow I missed when he was set apart as Branch President.
8. Read Harry Potter
9. Going to bed.
Despite the rumors, I don't live here anymore

There's a lot of fine print that gets left unread at the bottom fo those mission letters--the parts about being de-facto branch presidents, ward therapists, etc. People would probably read the fine print if it weren't written in invisible ink.
I hope President Bonito gets home soon--being a single parent pretty much stinks!
