Pres. Bonito was not happy that we loaned the tables. He said two different people had asked if they could borrow tables for that wedding and he told them both no. That would have been good information to share with us.

Church was good. The Primary kids sang…no accompaniment, off-key, not together, but they got up there and tried. We were proud of them. The Stake President said that was the first time he’d ever heard of anything like that happening in Cibecue.

We met with the Stake President to discuss a number of issues:
1. Getting Music and the Spoken Word broadcast on the reservation radio station
2. Going to a 2-hour block here in Cibecue
3. ARP training
4. Policy on loaning tables
5. Specialists
He was extremely helpful on all issues. He said he’ll find out about the radio program and thought it would be a great idea if possible. He had already rejected the idea of a 2-hour block but said he would discuss it with Elder Didier, area representative. ARP training was just making him aware of it. Loaning tables he said it is policy not to loan tables but why not let people borrow the 4 old tables we have that we wouldn’t care so much about losing. We’ll see what Bonito thinks of that. Stake President said we can get specialists from Show Low to help with activites. We talked about the people in Cibecue and concerns here and had a great visit with him. He’s much friendlier than we had thought and willing to help out.

At church Maxine Bonito said they wanted to come over and have their picture taken for Christmas cards. We waited all evening but they never came.

Robert was frustrated at church this morning. When we got in the car to go to Show Low he said, “We have our computer and the camera with us. Let’s just keep driving to Logan. The mission can have everything we left in the trailer.” But after our interview we came back. We’re still wondering if that was the right decision.
