These are some pictures we took in Canyon de Chelly. Isn’t it beautiful? We thought you’d all appreciate the picture of the old folks having lunch in the dirt.

Our goal for the day was to finish passing out flyers for the Relief Society activity. We actually managed to accomplish that, do some reading with Casper, and have scouts.

We took a flyer to Juliet and Robert talked to Byron, her husband, for a few minutes. Last Sunday Byron told Robert that he’d had a dream in which he was told he should put on the armor of God. He asked Robert about that, and Robert said he thought it referred to our garments. Byron was really excited about that and today he asked if we could start the temple classes with him and his wife on Friday.

While we were driving around we passed Isaac Lee, our friendly door kicker and drug dealer. Robert smiled and waved and Isaac flipped him off. Nice guy. Later on we heard him screaming and swearing again up at his house. We haven’t heard much from him for a couple of months, but he was back in fine form tonight. The really gratifying part is that pretty soon a police car pulled up, handcuffed him and took him away. Now that’s our idea of a good day.

Isaac almost put a damper on Robert’s favorite missionary program. He says the Elders count OYM’s (Open Your Mouth) and Robert counts WTE’s (Wave To Everyone). We get such a kick out of his waving program. At first people reacted like we were crazy white people. Then they actually started waving back. Now people reach their arms out the windows of their cars and wave and often they wave first. Robert is getting frustrated with that. He’s trying to become a faster waver so they can’t beat him to the punch.

I think WTE's should go church-wide. Wouldn't it be a fabulous "mormons are weird" trait?!
