Happy Easter!

Today we had a visit from Brother and Sister Bennett. They served as missionaries here in 2000-2001. They left about 3 months early because he had had a hip replacement that went out on him and he had to go home and get it repaired. They seem like really nice people.

During Sunday School we showed “The Testaments.” It was a great hit, of course. We especially liked it because we didn’t have to teach Sunday School and Primary. But we did have to speak in Sacrament meeting. Robert gave an outstanding talk on the resurrection…honestly, I’m talking General Authority quality. It was wonderful.

The rest of the day we just kicked back. We watched “The Nativity”, which we thought was really quite well done. We also watched a little bit of the Masters Golf Tournament, although truthfully we both slept through most of it. And of course the best part of the day was talking to our kids on the phone. We are certainly blessed with wonderful children.

We had only one visitor today, and that was a family who came to get chairs and tables for their Easter party. When they brought them back they sent one of the boys, about 11 or 12 years old, up to the door to tell us we could lock up the shed because they’d returned everything. Then he proceeded to tell Robert that he came to our Easter dinner and found 50 cents in an egg. He was really excited about that! Cute!

And that’s it for our Easter Sunday. Hope all of you had a wonderful Easter.

We enjoyed talking with you yesterday! Happy Easter, again. In keeping with Charlton tradition, I made Ethan clean out books from cupboards at school all morning. I did let him pick a lunch place--Panda Express. While eating there, we read our fortunes. His was, "beware someone who promises things that sound too good to be true." Ethan said, "That fortune already came true. You said the project at school would be fun, and it wasn't true!"

It's fun having an observant kid around here.
