Our usual Sunday today…although it was kind of quiet. Only Primary, music and Robert said the closing prayer. Plus all the taxi service. We had great attendance today. One of the largest we’ve seen since we came, although Christmas Eve we heard was really big, too. Don’t know what motivated everyone to show up today.
Good news! Our pregnant Young Women president told us she’s planning to get married. Seems like a good step to us. Might make her next morals and chastity lesson more effective.
Gilbert and Alma are planning to get married February 14, then get baptized. They wanted to attend Megan’s baptism today but couldn’t, since Megan didn’t attend again. This time it was the little brother who was sick, but of course we didn’t know until we got there to pick them up. It was Elder Meeks’ last Sunday in the mission field so he was especially disappointed. He really wanted one more baptism.
Since we didn’t get to go to the baptism we went to a birthday party. Murphy’s 2 grandsons had a party here at the church. They invited us to eat with them, but we had a big lunch thinking we wouldn’t get dinner, so just had cake and, unbelievably, ice cream! They also had fruit salad with it, but at least ice cream was an option.
Robert’s locking up the church and we’re going to bed.
Despite the rumors, I don't live here anymore
