We went to our first high school basketball game tonight. Well, we’ve been to a lot of high school games but this was the first one in Cibecue. Meeks and Itri went with us. It was really fun. Cibecue won.

Today was cold and rainy and we stayed inside all day until time for the game. We worked a little on Primary/Sunday School stuff, wrote our monthly e-mail to friends, exercised, and cooked Sloppy Joes for lunch and waffles and sausage for dinner. And we took a nap.

When Meeks and Itri came back we had dinner and worked on the baptismal program for tomorrow. Megan Day is getting baptized. We are the designated taxi to get Megan and her mom to Show Low, the piano player, Linda is praying and Robert is talking on baptism. The missionaries asked us to call and leave a message when we actually have the passengers on board and are heading out of town. Does that tell you the level of confidence they have in this baptism actually happening?

Meeks and Itri found out Alma has a form of cancer. We talked to Beckie and she said it can be treated with antibiotics if it’s early enough or surgery. This little couple certainly carries a lot of baggage. According to Beckie this is an STD carried either by Gilbert or Alma or both. They’ve both had multiple partners, and she’s 17 and he’s 19. Sad, sad, sad!

Can that poor girl ever get a break? We will keep her in our prayers.
