We were a bit premature in posting the blog last night. Just as we settled down for our long winter’s nap, and right in the middle of a delightful visit with Cade, Harrilyn came to the door. Isaac beat her up, again, and she wanted to use our phone. She called the police and reported him but they were busy investigating an accident in Carrizzo. Not that they would have come anyway. Domestic abuse doesn’t seem to be at the top of their list of emergencies. So we had to drag ourselves out in the snow and find her a place to stay. We went to one place, then another, then back to the first to find her a spot for the night. Took an hour and a half and we almost got stuck, even in 4-wheel drive. We told her the next time she comes we’re taking her straight to her grandmother’s in Carrizzo.
Today everything around here was closed because of the storm, so we stayed home. Robert started working on taxes and I did some more scrapbooking. Talked to Shawn while he was waiting for Veda at her doctor’s appointment. Think our little baby is getting close!
Alma called tonight and we gave her a ride to her mother-in-law’s house and back. Rebecca called but we didn’t talk long.
It didn’t snow any more today but it’s been cold. Tucson got an inch of snow. Sharon has company from Vermont. They came to Arizona to get out of the cold. Oops!
Now we’re getting ready for our temple trip tomorrow. I’m making a fruit salad. Hope the roads are good because we’re looking forward to this.
Despite the rumors, I don't live here anymore

Hope you made it to the temple today. Be careful! Between crazy drivers and bad roads, Cibecue winter driving seems way scarier than Idaho winter driving.
Ethan was so ready to go back to school Monday. He got dressed and did his morning routine in world record time. He was even standing at the door calling, "Are you ready yet, Mom?" Definitely a role reversal day.
Has she thought about leaving him??
