November 16, 2007

Out and about by 8:00 again this morning. We had Zone Conference in Show Low then went to Snowflake for our Family Services Training. At Zone Conference we got flu shots. The training this morning was mostly about the 42-day fast the mission is going to have. Each companionship will fast for 24 hours and they’re trying to go 42 days without breaking the fast. They are trying to reach the goal of 1150 baptisms set by President Buttars, and it will take a whole lot of work and a miracle or two, because they’re behind right now.

We left Zone Conference about 11:00, went to the bank in Snowflake, then met the Family Services people at Eva’s at noon. We had a nice lunch then went back to the office for some training. Elder Robrecht did the training this time.

Ken Brown asked Robert if he would do a parenting class at one of our trainings. It was a weird feeling, because our December meeting will be a Christmas party and that leaves only January or February when Robert could do the training again.

We stopped at Safeway on our way home. When we got back to Cibecue we checked with Byron to make sure they’re OK for tomorrow. She wasn’t home, she’s helping with the wake next door, but Byron says they’re ready.

As soon as we got back people were knocking on the door asking for more chairs and tables for the wake. Robert gave them everything in the shed but told them they would need President’s permission to take anything out of the church.

Now we’re home for the first time since last Sunday evening before 9:00. We’re putting on a movie and crashing.
