HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We enjoyed talking to everyone today and hearing about the kids’ fun Halloween.

In order to treat Robert’s clinical depression over the closing of his favorite golf course, he prescribed another golfing day for himself this week. However, he was unable to leave town without interference. At 7:00 this morning Robert Ivins called and had a message he wanted delivered to his mother, Irene. So on his way to golf Robert stopped by Irene’s and dutifully delivered the message. While he was there the other Robert arrived.

That Robert actually lives with his girlfriend in Vernon but has had a house here that he keeps. Recently he called and said the Housing Authority was kicking him out of the Cibecue house, which wasn’t surprising. In order to maintain the home it needs to be occupied a certain amount of time, which Robert’s never was. He rarely even slept here. Today was the last day he could get into the house, so he wanted his mother to take some dishes and other things that he is giving to her.

By the time Robert got home from golfing we had trick or treaters arriving. Last year no one came, but this year we had about 10-15. It was fun. One group came in with a bigger boy dressed as a clown with a big, curly blonde wig. We brought them in to take a picture and the boy said, “It’s me. Isaac.” That’s the first contact we’ve had with him since he tried to kick down our door. He was much tamer today. He said he’d been in jail, which we had suspected, as it’s been very quiet up at the Lee home. He also said that Harrilyn isn’t with him any more, that she left while he was in jail. Good for her. However, he also says he has another girlfriend already. Where in the world does he find all these women willing to live with him? Maxine came by with Faith and Ariel and visited for a few minutes.

Thelma went for her back treatment today. Yesterday when we were there Robert and Alfred gave her a blessing. I was worried about her because she’s been so sick, so we decided to make dinner for the family tonight. We took them spaghetti pie, French bread and corn on the cob.
